Travelers, workers and businesses must have confidence that air traffic controllers, TSA officers and U.S. customs officers will be paid on time and in full for the jobs that they do to ensure the safety and security of the National Airspace System (NAS).
End the Government Shutdown and Pay Federal Aviation Employees
When the federal government closes, critical aviation personnel are still showing up to work and prioritizing safety and security of the traveling public, crew members and cargo shipments.
Americans overwhelmingly agree that federal aviation workers should get paid on time for the work they do. Polling conducted by AlphaROC, Inc. shows that 93 percent of Americans said it was “important” to ensure paychecks for air traffic controllers and TSA officers during shutdowns be treated as a bipartisan priority.
Congress should listen to their constituents and pass legislation that ensures federal aviation workers are paid on time and in full during federal funding lapses.
